AUMI Dream Ensemble of Kansas featured at Ione's 24th Annual Dream Festival!
On Saturday, December 8, 2018, members of the AUMI improvising community in Lawrence, Kansas, will be featured as the opening performers in Ione's 24th Annual Dream Festival. Composer Kip Haaheim has set up a sonic dream enviroment in Swarthout Recital Hall, Murphy Music & Theater Building, University of Kansas, where performers are invited to arrive at 5:30 Central Time. iPads and microphones will be available for performers to play from what Ione calls "Dream Awareness," live-streamed to the Dream Festival participants in the Hudson Valley, New York, as well as to anyone who tunes in https://wavefarm.org/listen. Concert begins at 6 pm Central Time (7 pm Eastern Time).
The AUMI Dream Ensemble of Kansas Concert features AUMI improvisers from Lawrence Public Library, Independence Inc., AUMI-KU InterArts, members of the Music/Culture/Power seminar at University of Kansas, and planetary sounds from NASA remixed by Oliver Hall.
